- Monica da Silva & Chad Alger are a Brazilian American duo based in California's Napa Valley. Their music has an upbeat sound that blends styles such as Bossa Nova, Folk, Pop, and French Cafe. Chad plays the guitar, while Monica sings in English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish. She also plays the flute and keyboard. They play original songs and popular covers that they have revamped in their style. The duo's original songs have been featured in the movie Lady Bird, on the Putumayo World Music compilation Brazilian Beat, in the Netflix film The Last Summer, and in a campaign for Tory Burch. Monica & Chad perform for a wide range of events and have extensively toured the United States and Canada.
